How is the contribution amount to the Social Insurance Fund determined for the self-employed in Cyprus?

The contribution of self-employed persons to the SIF (Social Insurance Fund) is determined by the category to which he/she belongs, indicating the minimum and maximum weekly amount of insurable income.

In addition, for some categories, and when the self-employed is active for more than 10 years, then the contributions are increased.

View the table of Social Insurances HERE and just multiply the last column by 53 which is the number of weeks in year 2024 to calculate the year's minimum insuarable earnings.

For example, if you are a freelancer lawyer or architect or consultant for less than 10 years, you belong to category 2a and the minimum annual net income is set at €23,503 for the purpose of social insurance contribution.
